Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) Request Policy
Rishi Jagariya Traders Private Limited cooperates fully with Indian and, where applicable, foreign Law Enforcement Agencies ("LEAs"). This Policy outlines the channel, format and standards we follow when responding to lawful requests for information.
1. Single Point of Contact
All LEA requests must be sent to support@coinconnect.com with the subject line "LEA Request". Hard-copy notices may be served at our registered office: U 1/17, U block, DLF Phase III, Gurugram, Haryana — 122002.
2. Required Format
- Issued on official letterhead and signed by an authorised officer (not below the rank of Inspector / SP / equivalent).
- Cite the legal provision under which the request is made (e.g., Section 91 CrPC, Section 65B IEA, PMLA, IT Act).
- Reference an FIR / ECIR / case number where applicable.
- Clearly specify the customer identifier (account ID, email, phone, PAN, wallet address, transaction hash) and the time period.
- Include officer name, designation, badge ID, official email and contact number.
3. Scope of Data Shared
We share only the data that we lawfully hold and that falls within the scope of the request — typically KYC records, transaction logs and IP/device metadata. Wallet seed phrases or private keys are never held by us and cannot be produced.
4. Emergency Requests
In cases involving imminent threat to life or serious harm, we will act on the request on an expedited basis pending formal documentation. Mark such requests "URGENT — Emergency Disclosure" in the subject line.
5. User Notice
We may notify the affected user of an LEA request unless we are legally prohibited from doing so (for example, by an explicit non-disclosure direction or where notice would prejudice an ongoing investigation).
6. Preservation Requests
We will honour reasonable, lawful preservation requests for up to 90 days, extendable on further written request.
7. Record of Requests
We maintain a register of LEA requests received and responses made, available for audit by competent authorities.
